I thought this package got lost and I was beginning to get worried~~~Flowers!!!!! I just love the colors that came in this set (PeachyCheap.com). Embellishments are like accessories to your outfit...the more you have, ummm...the more options you have?!?!?!? Besides from Prima flowers, these have to be one of me other favorites. Surprisingly, I do not own any of them;) The yellow and blue ones will be a nice addition to my *Indie Art* acrylic book that I am working on. The theme is the "Summer of...." Summer is a full of sun, friends, margaritas....we'll see which of these make the cut into my book:)

Inspired by Sassafras :-)
I have been out of my element and have been in search of inspiration to *create*...I have bookmarked some fabulous projects that I intend to do though! What better way to get pumped up than to go purchase the new Sassafras paper "Indie Girl"?!?!?! My new local hotspot scrapbook store is on top of my scrapbook therapy and was ready for me today. I decided to go back to my roots and make one of my favorite kind of books...acrylic. Here is a quick pic of my *almost finished* cover. (Hopefully the picture came out because I am test running doing a blog post with my phone;) Happy Scrapping & Creating!!!

My Felty Friends
Here are my new friends....Sailor Puppy and Mushroom Girl. They were created, to be honest, out of boredom. I had been scrapping sooo much I needed to find another project to undertake to keep myself busy. While strolling the aisles of Joanne's I came across this Felties book. They are just sooo cute and tiny...I just love them. I have no idea what I am going to do with them yet~~~maybe put them in a scrapbook?!?!?!

Finally Coming Home Today:)
I finally get to pick Joe up from the airport tonight. He has been gone since last week (feels like forever though) for his Grandpa's funeral in Nebraska. This picture of us is from awhile ago, last years Solana Beach Street Fair, but I had never scrapped it and now it makes me smile:) Another obsession of mine, aside from Sassafras, is music paper. I seem to be incorporating it in so many layouts lately and I just love it. Of course you can also see how I used my notebook punch again. I also used a pinch of what my Mom and I call our "L.A. stash." The black "netting" behind the picture is part of that stash. On my birthday this year my Mom and I ventured up to L.A. Fashion District to raid the fabric shops in search for scrapbooking supplies. At first, we found a few good finds, but by the end we totally SCORED!!!! We seriously have multiple colors of this "netting," sequins and beads for LIFE!!! Our "L.A stash" drawer always puts a smile on my face:)

Keep on Scrappin' & Creating:))))))
With Joe out of town until Monday....I have made a disaster with all my scrapbook stuff, but I am producing like a mad woman. In this layout I figured out a way to get the brochure from this winery without making it look too tacky. I love my notebook paper punch, I seem to be using it more and more...(I used it in another layout that I will share tomorrow)! I'm trying to get over my fear of using my favorite scrapbook papers~~~and as my Mom knows, we will probably will NEVER run out!!! This layout allowed my to utilized Sassasfras, without having a heart attack. I just LOVE their lines, I seriously can't get enought. You know its a problem when I have become "friends" with a girl at my local scrapbook store, just to find out when "Indie Girl" will arrive~~~Fyi...Two Weeks!!!! I need to get on this job hunt just so I can continue to go there:))))

Package Challenge
My Mom and I are doing challenges from Elizabeth Karchner's book...(I think it's called 52 Scrapbook Challenges or something??). This is a challenge where you had to incorporate part of a package, like from your embellishments. I used most of my favorite line from Sassafras, Vintage Yummy. Can you guess what piece is a package??? It is the cream checkered paper under the word "Buddies." It came from a K&Company package of decorative borders. I'm absolutely in love with how this turned out!!!!

The Road Less Traveled
A long car ride alone is never fun, you can only listen to so many books on CD and scratchy-static music on the radio. Before packing up and moving I was inspired to make my "Road Trip" journal as a way to document this enormous change in my life as well as fill my need to craft all the time. So I thought this would be apropros to start our documentation of life NoT in San Diego:((((
Here is the cover.....(its a regular old composition notebook), with fabric, paper and embellishments. This is leaving my parents house in Murrieta....not as easy as I thought it was going to be:(I literally documented the amount of miles I drove...One of my favorite things to do was walk on the beach and through Encinitas...I already miss it!!!Thrasher, our turtle came along for the ride. He was a terror, it was like having a child. This ended of being one of my favorite pages for a couple of reasons....One~~if you know me, I like the color PiNk & Chandeliers!!! Two~~Taking these pictures while driving really made me forget about driving. One of my concluding pages that is not yet filled....it will be soon when we move into our house soon!!!!
